HOLYOKE, Mass.—The Holyoke Blue Sox will be co-sponsoring the Western Mass Baseball Hall of Fame Banquet this Friday night at 5:30pm and when they do – a new logo will be represented. Today, the Blue Sox unveiled the logo to the public today.
“We’re excited about the logo and it’s an important component of our growing the Hall of Fame into a yearly event,” said Blue Sox Owner Clark Eckhoff. “We’re constantly looking for ways to up the bar and this is certainly reflective of that.”
The event will take place on Friday, January 31 at the 12th Floor Ballroom at La Quinta Inn & Suites at 5:30pm and willinclude the induction of seven candidates into the Hall that comprise a ‘who’s who’ of Pioneer Valley baseball personalities and players. The list of inductees this year includes Walter “Rabbit” Marranville, Al Stanek, Mike Trombley, Peter Brown, Gary Brown, Dan Dulchinos and Bill Thurston.
“Planning this event has been a lot of fun from the getgo,” said Blue Sox General Manager Hunter Golden. “It’s certainly a tremendous opportunity for us as an organization to align ourselves with something like this; but more importantly, it’s healthy for the baseball community at large to have a place to congregate and come together to make connections and recognize the accomplishments of some of our most significant contributors.”
The logo for the Western Mass Baseball Hall of Fame was designed by Skye Dillon of Skye Design Studios, which is a brand identity and design firm located in the greater New York City area and has included clients such as Major League Baseball, the NBA, NHL, and Madison Square Garden.
“Skye is one of the most exciting and talented young designers out there, and to be able to have him design the Western Mass Baseball Hall of Fame logo is a home run,” Eckhoff said.
