SPRINGFIELD, MA—The Valley Blue Sox have partnered with Advanced Performance Player Development as the team’s official training facility.

In addition, the cage area is equipped with high speed video which can be utilized through personal training.

We are excited to partner with Pete and AP,” said Blue Sox General Manager Hunter Golden. “He is someone we know and trust, and the variety of means by which he can help our players improve make this a home run for the Blue Sox.”

The mission of AP is to offer “comprehensive development that utilizes years of practical on field experience to help our athletes reach their full potential. Not only do we look for likeminded individuals that display dedication, positive energy, drive, self-motivation, and honesty, but we bring on our staff based on those same persepctives. Overall, we are constantly researching, communicating, and implementing new methodology to better our programs and athletes as we ultimately strive to offer a one of a kind player development experience.”

AP has already helped advance the careers of baseball players, most notably Springfield native Nick Ahmed, who recently made his Major League debut with the Arizona Diamondbacks. AP’s staff also includes former Major League pitcher Mike Trombley, who has over 500 games of MLB experience, mostly with the Minnesota Twins.
