Blue Sox To Finish 2014 With Fire Works Friday Night!

SPRINGFIELD , MA- The Blue Sox announced today that they will be hosting their first ever Fan Appreciation and Fireworks Night on their final home game at MacKenzie Stadium in Holyoke on Friday August 1st  at 5:30pm. The event – sponsored and made possible by TD Bank and WMAS – will feature a double header vs. the Sanford Mainers and will be followed by a spectacular fireworks show after the game.

As part of the fan appreciation promotion, tickets will be half-price, with adults getting into the game for $3 and kids and seniors getting in at $2. Also – one ticket will be good for BOTH games that evening.

“This is something we’ve wanted to do all year,” said Blue Sox President Clark Eckhoff. “Thanks to TD Bank and WMAS it will become a reality and it’s a great way to say good bye to what’s been an incredible season for us.”

Also, Pat the Patriot from the New England Patriots will also be on hand to interact and take pictures with fans. Giveaways will take place all game.

“The support of the Pioneer Valley and the fans have given this team this year has been excellent,” said Blue Sox General Manager Hunter Golden. “Our staff will be working hard this offseason to make sure that we return the favor twice over next year and plan some awesome experiences for 2015.”

The 2014 season will represent the Blue Sox seventh season in the Pioneer Valley, playing at Mackenzie Stadium in Holyoke. The Blue Sox have been a member of the New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL; www.necbl.com) since 2008. The NECBL is funded in part by Major League Baseball and is comprised of 12 teams throughout all six New England states who recruit the elite athletes and premier pro prospects from around the world.
